Award Ceremony

On August 2nd the top drivers of the Drivers’ League 2008 met for the final competition at the driving centre Groß Dölln, nearby Berlin. To find the overall winner among Europe’s best drivers, every participant had to cope with five exercises.
The 55 km economical driving on public streets with a co-driver and FleetBoard driving-performance rating represented the main part of the evaluation. In spite of the foreign route and full-load the professionals demonstrated top performance and nerves of steel in the new Actros trucks, sponsored by Mercedes-Benz CharterWay.
Although they were competitors and had thrilling moments, the drivers supported each other with advice. At the award ceremony the winner’s cup was filled with beer and drivers, sponsors and the organisation team were celebrating a BBQ party. Every driver of the TOP 20 out of 4000 participants was a victor actually. So they will give anything to be again part of this event next year.
